You are aware that an attempt has been made to forge unity of all ESM organizations of India. On 6 June 31 organizations of India met and have decided to forge a joint organization for a special causes which affect maximum ex-servicemen. This joint organization will be called UNITED FRONT OF EX-SERVICEMEN.
First joint operation of UNITED FRONT OF EX-SERVICEMEN will be joint agitation from 14 June 15 onwards to convey to Government that ex-servicemen of India are very unhappy on the step son treatment being given to them and will be on streets from 14 June 15 in MAHA SANGRAM RALLY, and relay hunger strike thereafter from 15 June 15.
Some disgruntled people who have their allegiance to some political party or other are spreading canard about cancellation of rally and hunger strike. These people are anti ex-servicemen welfare.
United Front of Ex-servicemen is confirming that proposed Rally on 14 June 15 will definitely be held as planned to convey to the Government for early release of notification for OROP. Relay hunger strike will also be started from 15 June
A notice to be displayed at prominent places is also enclosed.

You are aware that unity conclave of major ESM organizations was held at constitution club Delhi on 6 June 15. The report has been sent separately. The conclave achieved the aims of unity of ESM organizations for fighting battle of OROP. All present unanimously decided to participate in MAHA SANGRAM RALLY at JANTAR MANTAR on 14 June 15.
The fever for rally is rising, momentum is building up to a crescendo. ESM pan India are very charged up to participate in Maha Sangram Rally and Relay hunger strike thereafter. ESM pan India are very unhappy and disappointed with the undue delay in issuance of notification of OROP. Similar rallies and relay hunger strikes are being planned all over India in 50 town. ESM from 14 states have confirmed their participation in the rally and HS. Most heartening news is that ex chiefs have also joined the crusade for OROP. Admiral Madhavendra singh ex Chief of Naval Staff has pledged support for agitation and contributed Rs 21000/ for the agitation. Dear Veterans it is everyone's agitation now. Veterans are whole heartedly contributing to offset the expenditure on rally and agitation.
IESM very humbly thanks veterans all over India for joining agitation with enthusiasm AND FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTION.
Some brave veterans have expressed their desire to sit on hunger strike till death. This is an indication of their frustration and disappointment with Governments. IESM salutes their spirit. One of them is a civilian and is ready to die for the cause of ESM. IESM is talking to them and attempting to persuade them that there will be no need to take this extreme step, but as of now they are determined and are wanting to be first in the true spirit of Armed Forces Motto. It is very sad commentary that our Governments have been callous towards the brave sons of soil, who have fought wars and secured BOUNDRY of India all their lives. Brave sons of India are being denied their place of respect in society. Here is a proud Indian who not only respects the sacrifices of Armed Forces but is ready to lay his life for their welfare.

A detailed study of the speech and interview with Tribune indicates that PM has said that his Government is elected for five years and he will find solution. Does it mean that Honorable PM is asking ESM to wait till may be five yrs till he finds solution to so called complex problem of OROP? Veterans! OROP definition is approved and sealed. The definition is sacrosanct and there is no scope of dilution. What PM is hinting at is please all definition that means tweaking with the definition to please bureaucrats. Would ESM accept it? IESM says NO.Announcement of OROP has been delayed without any justifiable reason. OROP should have been approved in just one month of NDA assuming power but OROP has been put in circles by NDA Government which came to power on promise of GOOD GOVERNANCE. - Ask Govt to approve OROP and issue notification at the earliest.
- OROP has been approved by two parliaments and is a statute now. How can any Government dilly dally on the issue?
- OROP definition is sacrosanct and has been approved by Parliament. Any dilution in the definition will not be accepted.
- Relay hunger strike by ESM every day from 15 June 2015 at Jantar mantar till Government issues notification for OROP.
- Similar Maha Sangrarm rallies and relay hunger strikes will be held in state capitals and wherever there is a large density of ESM. Main towns are Patna, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Ghazipur, Jhunjhunu, Karnal, Hissar, Jhajjhar, Bahadurgarh, Panchkula, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Bhatinda, Ludhiana, Bhopal, Reva, Mangalore, Bangaluru, Chennai, Tiruvanatpuram. ESM in more than 30 towns in India will sit in hunger strike.
- Another tranche of Gallantry medals will be returned to the President of India.
All state conveners of IESM are requested to arrange relay HUNGER STRIKE in their state from 15 June 15 to complement the agitation being organized at Delhi
